Day 6- Your Favorite Super Hero and Why?

Of all the super heroes in the world, who do I love the most and why? Well, that's simple. ^_^ SUPERMAN~! *insertmoviebgmusic*

I know you've seen loads of remakes of the original movie/story and stuff but my heart will always belong to the very first actor who acted out Superman. In all honesty, I don't know his name. hahaha /fail! but he has set my mind into how a hero should be and how superman looks like. Heck! I didn't even read the comics. I'm not a die hard fan of the movie and the comics, but I am indeed a fan of superman and his ideals. I wish to find a man who's willing to try and turn back time to rid the world of his mistakes. or just find ways to make his ways right hehehe.

I was going through a trauma phase in my life after watching Jessica Soho and finding out about loads of stuff about those cheap nail polishes I used to buy in Divisoria. I've learned my lesson and will never buy from them ever again! So I made myself happy by buying myself two LUCIDarling nail polishes from Etude House. I'll be posting reviews and stuff in my Strawberry Mikan account tomorrow so look forward to that.

Okay, well since this is a new blog I guess it's proper to say about stuff about me. I was born and raised until my 3rd grade in elementary here in the Philippines but we moved to Saudi Arabia around May of 1999 before I entered 4th grade. I first entered a school called IPSJ, which is short for International Philippine School in Jeddah. I only stayed there for the first two quarters then I transferred to Al Hekma International School in Jeddah, my forever love! My mom teaches there so when she moved to work there, me and my sister had to transfer schools as well. I studied there until Highschool and then College in the Philippines. I miss this place so much! I'm hoping I can come back next year because I love Saudi Arabia and I miss that place so much

Day 4- A habit that you wish you didn’t have

I wouldn't really call it a habit. I just have this way of overly thinking things without the need to do so. In every situation and in every little thing that I do, I end up going back to doing this and think everything through. Not that weird but it is to me. It kinda gives me both bad and good feedbacks. I do the same when putting on makeup too. I tend to doubt on how I have to do looks and stuff. 

Updates are slow because I was helping my uncle with campaigning. He's running for office in our district so I'm being the supportive niece who helps out.

Day 3- A Photo of You and Your Friends

This is probably the first time I'll be blogging about my graduation day. One of the most special days in my life. I graduated with Academic Excellence and as one of the Best Thesis writers. Twas one of the most amazing days of my life. I think I have everyone I want in this photo. All of my college buddies are here and two of my best friends ever are here as well. I just love these people so much. I never knew our friendship would be tainted at some point but I guess that's something inevitable and something that we can only as God to guide those two people I love.

On a much brighter and happier note, I did my own makeup here. I did Fafinettex3's Valentine makeup and added a few of my extra techniques as well. ^_^

Day 2- The Meaning behind your Tumblr name (In this case Blog name)

My blog name is Makeup and Photography by Aya, simply because I'm using this blog as a way to promote my Photography and to deal with how my Makeup skills are improving. Plus, my nickname is Aya, for most people I know at least, so I simply combined everything like that. haha. lame right? I know, but its my simple happy way to be myself lol.

Oh and yeah, about the picture I posted here. This photo was taken during a stroll around our village. I took Sapphire (my Nikon D3000) and practiced my photography skeeelz. I actually want to do a cosplay shoot or a fashion shoot right now but I don't know if I could get some models/victims (?) for that. Anyhoo. toodles!

Okay yes, I edited the eyebags. When you see how they look right now, you'd think I was a crossbreed of a human and a raccoon. lol. I'm exaggerating but yeah, they do look really bad.

1.My full name is Alyssa Jane Gonzales Mabalot.

2.My middle name, Gonzales, is one of the many spellings of Gonzales.

3.I drink a lot of water and I prefer water to soft drinks(most of the time)

4.I love coffee...

5.But I've only visited Starbucks for only a handful of times.

6.I only drink Green tea and Earl Grey.

7.I love pastries.

8.I can go the whole day without rice.

9.But I can't without water and pastries.

10.I have a Nikon D3000 DSLR that I got from my daddy!

11.I named my DSLR Sapphire Angelique.

12.I love my pet Shih Tzu, Shiro Muffin Yshmael.

Welcome to my world!

Hi everyone!
I'm Aya, sometimes Ysahaya or Ysah. Well, I have got so many nicknames but I have very few things that I'm very passionate about. For one, I'm a teacher. I love teaching little kids about a lot of things and I enjoy that very much. Second is Art, a passionate I could not pursue professionally but I still practice this in various ways. Art is also where three of my other passions branch out. Music, Makeup and Photography. I love music and art so much that when combined, they create a muse in me that explodes with creativity. Makeup is my way of pursuing art. It's just like painting on a blank canvass, just a more challenging canvass. It's easy to make someone very common looking to look really beautiful but it's harder to make someone beautiful to stand out. Of course all of these other passions of mine influence photography. I create my own kind of photography based on how I perceive art, music and how I make my models look when I shoot them. I take photos of almost any possible subject available.

And lastly, my passion in writing. Writing has always been an outlet of mine to express my thoughts and feelings about everything I love and believe in. You'll usually see me carrying a tote full of makeup and a camera but you'll surely see me with a pen and a notebook too. My world revolves a lot on my writing and this is how I got here, writing this new blog of mine that I will absolutely update a lot from now on.

I plan to keep this blog for my FOTDs, LOTDs and NOTDs. I'll probably post some of my photography stuff here since it does say Makeup and Photography by Aya. But if you want to read about reviews on products and such, you can read them in my other blog; Versatile Chic. I do most of my product reviews there and I update that blog almost everyday.

I'm open to do collaborations with other people and I'd love to do so in terms of makeup and photography. Or being a bystander is good too! LOL kidding. Anyway, that's all for now. Bye!
